From Medicine Hat we bring you the talented Rob Benn and his wife and
daughter, Laurie and Melanie, who will teach us how to incorporate
symbolic recording
when working with the flipchart. I have personally seen and also used
their graphic facilitation skills and found that parties appreciated
the pictorial view of their issues and solutions; it lightened the
atmosphere in the room and prompted interactive flipchart
participation. I guarantee it will be an extra useful tool in your
facilitation toolbox, whether you are facilitating a strategic
planning session, an educational program, a coaching session, a
mediation session or any other meeting that requires work on a
flipchart or whiteboard.
A
NEW session
has been inserted to replace the Impact of Court & Community Mediation
session. The new topic has been added due to popular demand and is
entitled
“Integrating ADR into workplace policy”.
This session will be co-facilitated by our President, Chuck Smith, and
Paul Conway, both HR Professionals and experts in their respective
areas –
presented and contrasted from both, the Labor Relation and Employee
Relation perspectives. This session will run on June 7, from 11:00 am
to 12:30 pm. Be sure to attend if you are an HR professional, policy
advisor, OD consultant, or otherwise involved in
company/organizational policy management.
Austin Vickers, born and raised in Alberta and B.C. and now living in
the U.S., makes a powerful presentation on the
Science and Power of Imagination,
a topic that cannot be emphasized enough when working in the human
services field. His research-based and scientific knowledge of this
apparently ‘soft topic’ will surprise you with information that is
founded on ‘hard’ facts. If you are interested in leading edge
research this is a session you won’t want to miss!
