Thoughts on Implementing the
Results from Epidemiologic Research
[Editor’s note:
In the October issue of the Epi Monitor, we carried two stories about
implementing the results from epidemiologic research one about the
obstructive actions of special interest groups and the other
describing different opinions about the appropriateness of scientists
becoming involved in public policy making. We invited readers to write
expressing their views on these matters and received the following
letter describing an interesting initiative to maximize the results
obtained from public health research. We have never heard of any
similar projects anywhere else in the world.]
