and licensing. As an attorney, he represented a major international
master franchisee and franchisor in the development of their US
franchise system. He also has significant business experience in the
area of licensing and intellectual property, having co-owned and
operated a licensing firm with domestic and international clients.
Mr. Hoffmann also sits on the
Franchise Panel of the American Arbitration Association and has been
involved in the resolution of numerous franchise and licensing
disputes as both an arbitrator and mediator throughout Florida.
Issues have included franchisor/franchisee contract disputes,
licensing and franchisee ownership disputes. He is valued for his
experience as an attorney, business leader and educator in mediation
and arbitration matters involving franchising and licensing.
Mr. Hoffmann also has an extensive
background in intellectual property law and licensing. As an attorney
he has litigated and tried patent, copyright and trademark matters –
as a businessman, he has been involved in global licensing of
intellectual property for products, services and software. This
experience makes him a valued mediator in disputes involving these
diverse issues.
